Principal’s Welcome
As you are, for who you are, and all you will become.
Welcome to Our Saviour Lutheran School. I am so glad you are here and exploring what makes our community special.
One of the first things families notice is how deeply relational we are. Children learn best when they are seen, known, heard, and loved, so we take the time to truly understand every learner to create a strong sense of belonging. We work closely with families, listen to our young people and build strong connections so each child feels supported.
As a specialist standalone primary school everything we do is purposeful and created in the image of the child. Our approach is child centred and forward thinking. We are a neuroaffirming and trauma informed school, guided by evidence-based practice in every area of learning. Small class sizes allow our teachers to personalise learning and create experiences that are engaging, challenging and meaningful for each child.
Primary school is an important chapter in every child’s life, and we are honoured to share that journey with our families. These early years are where confidence builds, identity forms and a lifelong love of learning begins. When the time comes for the next step, we work with families to choose the secondary pathway that best suits their child. Students from Our Saviour transition successfully to a wide range of public and independent high schools.
Our beautiful grounds also play a big part in school life. Children enjoy nature play, gardening, chooks and quiet green spaces that help them explore, imagine, feel calm and supports their wellbeing. These outdoor environments allow our children to be adventurous, promotes healthy development, sustainability, risk taking and resilience as part of daily learning.
At Our Saviour being compassionate is at the heart of who we are. We strive to create a community where every child feels safe, valued and supported as part of our commitment to wellbeing and we uphold a zero approach to bullying in all forms. We actively teach kindness, empathy, and respectful relationships.
Our team are all deeply committed to the children in our care. Many educators have been part of Our Saviour for a long time, creating continuity of care and trust.
Although we are proud of our Lutheran identity and heritage, we warmly welcome families from all backgrounds. Our values guide the way we care for people, and everyone is invited to be part of our community.
I would love to meet you, show you around and help you get a feel for life at Our Saviour. It is a wonderful place for children to grow, thrive and discover all they are capable of becoming.
Warm regards
